Are Low-e windows worth the money?

We've been asked on a number of occasions if low-e windows are a good value. I'd have to say a resounding yes. Low-e windows help to retain warmth in your home during the cold winter months. Some will even help to reduce solar heat. However, one misconception is that these windows can also block the sun's damaging UV rays. Some high quality windows will reduce UV rays by as much as 65%. While this certainly helps, it doesn't match the 99% UV reduction that window films provide.

Check with your window manufacturer to determine the UV performance of your windows or contact Clear View and we will test your windows with our UV meter, absolutely free.
